Amabel Youngbin JeonSocial, Cognitive, and Cultural Psychologist
PhD Candidate, University of Southern California |
Welcome!
I am a Ph.D. candidate working with Dr. Daphna Oyserman at the Mind and Society Center at the University of Southern California. Prior to USC, I worked in the Memory, Cognition, and Self (MCS) Lab at Wesleyan University under the guidance of Dr. Kyungmi Kim. My research focuses on how our culture-based knowledge network shapes biases and interpretations of ambiguous information. I use insights from my research to shed light on current social issues, such as increasing public support for police reform and combatting the spread of online hate and misinformation. In my free time, I enjoy boxing, basketball, ultimate frisbee, and skating alongside Venice beach.
